I have Adobe FM 7.2 with the Patch B144 on Windows 7 x64 and when I try to install the new patch AdobeFrameMaker7_2p158Patcher.exe I get the error "get disk space file error" and the window freeze.

    > I have Adobe FM 7.2 with the Patch B144 on Windows 7 x64 and ...

I'm surprised that FM7 even runs native in Win7. I would expect various random problems during FM ops, and a complete inability to reliably use the Acrobat/Distiller5 that came with FM7 (although a later version of Acrobat/Distiller, separately installed, might work, esp. if using a Print-to-Ps-and-Distill workflow).

You need to install FM7 inside a virtual machine. There are several solutions (e.g. Virtual Box) for that, some of which require that the CPU have hardware virtualization. Most AMD chips do. It's often fused-off, however, on low end Intel chips (just because you didn't pay enough).

I've built a Win7 Pro64 PC, and run FM7 in XP Mode (a virtual machine that is a complete instance of Windows XP/32, and not to be confused with Compatibility Mode). XP Mode is a free download from Microsoft, still available, but only for Windows 7 Enterprise, Professional and Ultimate (not Basic, Home or not-so-Premium). Note: XPM is not supported on Windows 8, 8.1 or 10. You'll need a 3rd-party VM for that (and you'll probably have to install your own copy of XP in any 3rd party VM).

If your chip is AMD, there's a hotfix patch (KB 2519949 as I recall) you need to install before you do anything else about XPM. This patch is not included in any of the 200+ Windows Updates that a virtualized XP wants you to install, in several waves (yes, this takes a while).

    And from a related discussion:

    >> Microsoft no longer support WinXP, does it a risk to use it?

After you install XP in the VM, and apply all 200+ Windows Updates, and install the apps you need:

    • disable the VM's networking capability*
    • or at the very least never use a browser inside the VM
    • if possible, let the AV software in the host OS access the VM's virtual drive

MS is going to EOL Windows 7 in 2015Q2 as well.

    _______

    * For some apps, the networking would need to be on periodically for license validation.
