Export FM book with all files

Hello,

I need to translate a whole FM12 book containing several FM12 documents.

Is there a way to export the all files, including text and graphics into a new separate folder that can be sent to translation.

I just to do this in FrameMaker 8:

File > Utilities > Archive Book

and it would create a folder containing:

  • FM book
  • FM documents
  • Folder for text insets
  • Folder for reference graphics

I don't know where this function came from.

Hi,

This feature is natively available in Frame 12 now as part of 12.0.2. To install the update click on Help > Updates menu in FrameMaker and then choose the relevant option.

File > Package menu item is available now. Clicking this will open a dialog with various options for packaging.

That may have been a third party script or plugin at FM8.

FM11 included an archive ExtendScript, which is presumably in FM12 as well. Having nothing newer than FM9 at hand, I can't give you any more detail.
