Extraneous blank pages in PDF

One blank page is inserted in the PDF file after each FrameMaker page containing PostScript code. I am using FrameMaker 8 under Windows Vista on a Dell Vostro 1700. This problem did not occur when I was using FrameMaker 6 under Solaris 8 on a Sun Blade 2000.

Suggested work arounds are most welcome.

Dan -- thank you so much for posting your resolution [all the more so because of the unusually uncharacteristic deafening silence of forum replies!] -- your contribution, esp. regarding the version differences, will undoubtedly help somebody else in the future.

After further investigation, with the help of Adobe Support, it was discovered that this problem was caused by the (unnecessary) "showpage" line at the end of the inserted PostScript code. This line caused a blank page to be inserted after the page containing the PostScript code. Curiously, it did not produce this result under both FrameMaker 4 and 6.
