F9 paragraph style chooser not working well for styles starting with period in FM11

When I use the F9 key to select my paragraph style for a style that begins with an alphabetic character, the new, full-list version in FM11 works just fine. However, when I need a style that begins with a period (.), the chooser goes weird and typically ends up on a style beginning with a z. If I type again, it finds the style correctly. Similarly, if I wait a couple of seconds before starting to type the period, it finds the style correctly.

This behavior is cramping my creative style! Has anyone else seen this?
