Figure numbering stops working randomly

FrameMaker9 - windows 10

New to FrameMaker, been trying to insert new autonumbering figure titles in an existing document - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. Not sure whats going on..

In Paragraph Design the paragraph was already created and I am using this formula in the autonumber format box:

F:Fig. <n+>\t

a. What does it do instead?
What does "stops working" mean?
Blank? Counter stuck? No counter visible?

b. Where on the page are these titles located?
(e.g. main Flow A, text box in Anchored Frame, Table, Table in Anchored Frame, etc.)

HI,

Sorry, the figure numbering process doesn't stop - but restarts counting at 1. The old figures were placed within anchored frames - I think what is going on is that the counting restarts when figures are placed outside anchored frames and placed inside regular text frames. Issue is resolved. Thanks.
