FM 2019 Crashing after applying conditional text and updating show/hide

I built my single source FM file, which is supposed to produce 2 PDFs. I need to hide some content for now and when I try to do that Framemaker shuts down during the save process. Any suggestions?

Since you already tried a MIF wash, here are other things to try:

    • Make sure Fm 2019 is fully up-to-date
    • Rename the preferences folder for Fm 2019
    • Download and test with a trial of the current version (17.0.3) of Fm 2022
    • Import the content of your file into a new Fm document

Oh, and if it's a book file, ensure all files open without missing resource messages and that the book updates properly.

Also, since Fm 2019, are you using the Publish pod for PDF, or are you printing to the Adobe PDF driver?

    Hi,

What is your FrameMaker version? Do you have the latest update installed? My impression is that this happens more and more rarely. Probably Adobe fixed some of these bugs.

What I would recommend: Do a MIF wash. Save as MIF and then save back as FM again.

    Often this helps.

    Best regards, Winfried

Tried the MIF wash. Didn't work. I started over from a known good file and redid my work. I probably missed some things that were formatted on this new version but will have to do a quality check tomorrow. I assume it was the CT set up files I was trying to import.

Are you getting any messages about what it's got a problem with?
