FM 7.1 and Acrobat 9

I am using FM 7.1b023. Recently I installed CS4, which includes Acrobat 9 Pro (Version 9.1.2). To create a PDF file from FM, I always first set the Adobe PDF printer driver as the default, and then I start FM and print the document. I'm now (since upgrading from CS2 to CS4) getting PDF files from FM that are missing some of the text on some of the pages. Is there an incompatibility between FM 7.1 and Acrobat 9?

It sounds as if you're hitting a Windows bug for which Microsoft has released a hotfix:

I have noticed, as I stated in my previous email that there is a problem with FrameMaker 9 intermittently when you try to alter a paragraph style. Was the user who posted an issue regarding doing a global change using FrameMaker 9? If so, exit out, close out the session and reopen again. If that doesn't work, then logoff your computer session, restart your session, logon and access FrameMaker, and you ought to be able then to make global changes. I use FrameMaker like a workhorse for large files, many cross-references, etc. It hangs up on my multiple times a day. Last night I had a problem where a custom color for a character reference was not displaying custom. I closed out, went back in, reset the character format in my paragraph designer for the correct paragraph, as a lead-in, and it worked.

I'm having similar issues in the new RoboHelp 8; not to mention I needed a brand new computer with twice the RAM and processing speed to even USE RoboHelp 8. It seems to be the pods and the complex display, causes hang-ups and unexpected results.
