Fonts not Carying Over

I have a file where I'm using the font "Symbols" to make a block which is the letter n, when I export it does so with a time new roman n instead of the block.  Do you have any idea how to fix this?

I am also having a problem deleting pages, I delete a page and it saves in frame maker but when I export it to PDF the page is back.  I've attached screen shots, wording blurred out by me, see the red arrows that point out the block.

    Which version of FrameMaker?

    Which joboptions file do you have specified for the PDF creation?

    Do you actually have the Symbols font installed?

    Do you want to delete the content or the page layout for that particular page?

    I actually ended up talking to customer support, there was a problem with my computer, thanks!
