Footnote Separator disappearing

I am working with Adobe FrameMaker 8, on a book that uses footnotes.

The footnote separator randomly (as far as I can tell) disappears from pages throughout the book. Master pages and reference pages are unchanged.

Does anyone know how to make sure that the separator appears on every page?

Interesting – I had made the same suggestion via e-mail earlier; doesn’t seem to have shown up. I wonder if it’s our new e-mail address change that’s messed it up.

Is it disappearing in when viewed in FM or on output to a PDF?

If in FM, have you tried using the ctrl+l (lowercase "L") to refresh the screen?
