FrameMaker 16.0.2 XML to PDF not recognizing landscape pages?

Question

I keep running into this same issue and I don't know if it's the landscape page format or something else...I'm hoping someone here has some insight. I followed the tutorial for updating the template being used by the sts file and I have managed to get my output printing...however when I try to utilize a template created in landscape format FrameMaker seems to default to a different template altogether that is only portrait and contains none of the custom formatting from my template. I have attempted to edit the .sts file, import element definitions and formats from templates that I know work correctly. I have attempted updating the structapps/EDD files...I feel like I'm going in circles and not getting the results I need. Basically the document that I need to ouput has a large table that needs to be in landscape format in order to be viewed correctly.

I finally solved this issue...I created the landscape template, I was including images on the master pages and I found out that I needed to import the files and make sure the main text frame was empty with the images in their own image frames at the top and bottom of the page. This prevented the unable to open template errors I was getting and allowed me to use my template instead of seeing the default template.

Is the whole document landscape?If not, are the landscape pages in separate .fm files?
