Framemaker 18 Install error 127

Locked. Duplicate Post. See:

 

When installing Framemaker, the installer quits at 12% and gives me the following error: “We are unable to complete the installation at this time. (Error Code: 127)”. I changed permissions per the adobe website and it did not solve my problem.

I have Framemaker 16 currently installed. I have tried this installation on two different windows machines with the same result. Also this is probably posted in the wrong community, I did not see a Framemaker community in the drop down menu when submitting.

Error 127 indicates the installer can’t extract the files. Check:

  • Adequate free disk space (we need 5 GB of available disk space for installation (but additional free space is required during the installation process), 
  • Folder permissions, and
  • Interference from your anti-virus app.
