"Yes, you read it right! It is not FrameMaker 13 but rather FrameMaker (2015 release). The version numbering has been changed for all Adobe Tech Communication products to reflect the year of the release rather than a sequential number. No more guessing when a certain release came out"

A family member suggested to me that the real reason for this was specifically to avoid the number 13.

Not being superstitious myself, it never occurred to me. This is not to say that Adobe is superstitious, but it might perceived that enough customers are.

Using model years is not always a benefit. There's strong temptation to release a "new" model every year, even if all that's changed is the tail fins.

The feature set looks pretty aggressive. Glad to see perpetual licensing is still available.

Is the SVG pass-thru to HMTL5 new? The data sheet PDF implies that it might have been in FM12.

Were there any enhancements to Unicode support, other than whatever might have been needed for R2L? I'm thinking specifically about combining characters.
