FrameMaker 2015 trial installation fail

Question

I downloaded the trial version of FrameMaker 2015. When I run the installer, I get the message "adobe extractor has stopped working." After I close the dialog box, Windows give me an exception message "EOleSysError in module Framemaker_13_LREFDJ.exe at 0078171. The specified module could not be found." How do I get this to work?

First make sure you're running the installer as a local admin on your machine and second make sure that you have admin rights to your local c:\ drive. If you still run into difficulties, give Adobe Support a call - install issues are usually a freebie call. And after installing, don't forget to run the Help > Updates to get all the latest patches - the download doesn't have the latest & greatest built in.
