Framemaker 2019 and R4i Workspace

Hi everyone,

We are using the Adobe Framemaker R4i Workspace plug-in for S1000D, but we cannot use 4.1 functions of the S1000D.

Do we have the possibility to access S1000D 4.1 functions (PDF Output, PM, Applicability, CIR) using Framemaker, without using Binder?

R4i Workspace is a product from Absolute Data Group, not from Adobe.

You will need to check with their support: https://support.pennant-ips.com/supportportal/

Can we use S1000D 4.1 functions using FrameMaker's own S1000D menu without the R4i Workspace? Now we are using R4i CSDB together with the R4i Workspace. Should we get an another CSDB if we give up R4i CSDB? Or does the FrameMaker have its own CSDB?

In FrameMaker, go to Edit > Preferences > Global > Launch and remove the entry in Don't Load Startup Scripts. Make sure to cut and paste it somewhere (like Notepad) in case you want to re-insert it later!).

Click OK and restart FrameMaker. You now have an S1000D menu in the menu bar.
