Framemaker 2019 is not launched

We are facing the below issue in the event viewer. Could you please let us know

Though FM and FM Publishing servers are two different products we need the latest FM 2019 automatically invoke the same. Kindly advise a workaround solution to fix the issue.

Hi,

As per system requirement mentioned in Userguide of FrameMaker Publishing Server, You would need Windows 2012 R2 Server instead of Windows 2012 Server.

Kindly elaborate if there is any other issue.

We are using Windows 2012 R2 only but still FM is not getting launched by the service automatically.

Hi,

 

It has to be Windows 2012 R2 for FMPS to work properly. Please try to install it on 2012 R2 machine.

We have udpated the FM to 15.0.4.751 but still we are facing the same issue. Could you please provide any alternate step to fix this issue.

Hi,

 

Yes, you can launch FrameMaker and update it via Help > Updates, even if it is a part of FMPS. Can you confirm the Windows OS you are using where you have installed FMPS?

Hi Mayank,

 

We are using .net 'C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\installutil'  to invoke the frame maker as a service. Because of .net comptability the service is not getting invoked.

Yes - my understanding is that FM and FM Publishing Server are two different products.

Thank you for the udpate

we are using Frame maker pub server 2019. please let us know if we can launch frame maker and go to help->update to update the latest version of Frame maker?

Hi,

 

As stated by "Winfried_Reng" you FrameMaker is not updated. Can you please try to re-download Adobe FrameMaker from the following link which is already updated "http://prdl-download.adobe.com/Framemaker/DB449C0B234D4B40BFAF14D9F78A8CE3/1566366392393/Framemaker_15_x64_LREFDJ.zip" and install it.

Hi,

 

I do not know what you report means.

However, you should update your FrameMaker installation!

Many bugs are fixed.

The current version is 15.0.4.751.
