Hi there, we have been trying to find solutions to this issue for some time to no avail, thought I'd post here in case others have had similar experiences. Thanks in advance for any insight or things to try!

Issue Description:

FrameMaker is not responsive for ~20 seconds when switching between tabs within a book. This happens on the first load of a .fm file, as well as every time we switch between another file and back again. It is very disruptive with our workflow, especially when working on multiple or complex books in parallel. This occurs to both technical writers in our department. My colleague has been experiencing this for some time, I experience the exact same issue with a brand new computer and fresh install of FrameMaker.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

Updating Frame (the issue occurred on FrameMaker 2019 as well as 2020)

Disabling graphics

Updating .EPS files in the book to use PostScript3 and no thumbnails

Issue persists despite steps taken.
