The Updates command is greyed out on my FrameMaker 2020 installation. Why? How do I get updates?

No idea, but it if helps the current version is 16.0.2.916 and there are no further updates.

The disabling sometimes means that you don't have an Internet connection or that another Adobe product is "controlling" the update access - I've seen that with the Tech Comm Suite in the past.

Normally, you'd just go to the FM updates web page, but that's been all messed up for a while now, so unless you ping Stefan for a direct link, you have to go download the current trial offering (according to Klaus Daube) to get the newest patch version.

    Hi Rick,

    Hm. What's your current version?

I suppose you restarted Windows and FrameMaker.

Do you have access to the internet? (If not, I think that this should only matter, when FrameMaker searches for updates, but who knows.)

I see that there is a similar question on the Captivate forum:

    https://community.adobe.com/t5/captivate/update-grayed-out-on-help-menu/m-p/7300069

    Not relevant for FrameMaker.

    Best regards
