Framemaker 2022 CMS SharePoint Client Not Working Properly

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, the FM2022 (with latest update installed) CMS SharePoint Online client gets stuck completely when trying to check out a file from a repository. It looks like a check-out/check-in timeout issue that also existed in the on-prem SharePoint CMS client and was fixed by Adobe in FM2020.
Has anyone else encountered this issue with the SharePoint Online client?

Thanks!

I am not sure if this is the issue, but Update 4 broke some things with FrameMaker 2022. If you are using that update, I would suggest going back to Update 3 and see if that solves the problem.

    Hi Rick,

    Thanks for your input!

I've experienced this issue since I installed FM22. I hoped that one of the updates would fix it but in vain.

    Hi,

I do not use SharePoint. Therefore I cannot recommend anything.

However, did you search this forum for "SharePoint"? There are many threads which seem to have similar issues as you.

And can you describe your issue in more detail?

What's your exact FrameMaker version (Help | About)?

    Best regards, Winfried

    Hi Winfried,

Yes, I searched for SharePoint Online but didn't find anything relevant to my case. There have been similar issues with the on-prem SharePoint CMS connector in the past. SharePoint Online is a completely different solution.

    My FM version is 17.04.628.

    Cheers,

    Roman

I suspect you'll need to contact the FM folks on this one - see https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#framemaker for your Adobe Support options. I'd recommend using the tcssup@adobe.com e-mail address as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including FrameMaker.

    Hi Jeff,

I actually submitted a bug report to Adobe a while ago. But it will take ages for them to fix it. In the meantime, the feature is inusable. I just wondered if anyone else had the same issue or it has something to do with particular settings/system configuations.
