FrameMaker 2024 LOF not showing Figure numbers or Page numbers

I have tried creating a LOFfrom scratch and updating an existing one, but no matter what I do, the figure number and page number do not display. The Ch 1 is in the text.

They come out like this in the Body Text:

openObjectId Ch 1 Intro and Description.fm:2 1168559

openObjectId Ch 1 Intro and Description.fm:2 1168559

The Reference page looks like this:

openXmlElementId <$relfilename>:<$UniqueXmlElementId> <$RelativeXmlElementId>

<$paranum><$paratext> ...........................................................................<$pagenum>
<$paranum><$paratext> ...........................................................................<$pagenum>
<$paranum><$paratext>........................................................................... <$pagenum>
<$paranum><$paratext> ...........................................................................<$pagenum>
<$paranum><$paratext> ...........................................................................<$pagenum>
<$paranum><$paratext>........................................................................... <$pagenum>
openObjectId <$relfilename>:<$ObjectType> <$ObjectId>
openXmlElementId <$relfilename>:<$UniqueXmlElementId> <$RelativeXmlElementId>
<$paranum> <$paratext>...........................................................................<$chapnum>-<$pagenum>
<$paranum> <$paratext>.............................................................................<$chapnum>-<$pagenum>
<$paranum> <$paratext>...............................................................................<$chapnum>-<$pagenum>
<$paranum><$paratext> ................................................................................<chapnum>- <$pagenum>
<$paranum><$paratext> ................................................................................<chapnum>- <$pagenum>
<$paranum><$paratext> ................................................................................<chapnum>- <$pagenum>

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks everyone! I can't send any part of my actual file. When I create a LOF on a different book it works fine.  I may just have to hand create this one with cross-references and swap it out in the PDF.

Delete the text and the reference page and start over. It looks to me as if someone was trying to combine two different lists on a single reference page.

Hi @Cathynel23226793;

Creating a list of effective pages in FrameMaker is notoriously under-documented.

Taking Dave up on his offer to look at your file is likely the quickest avenue to solving this. If that isn't an option, please take a look at these two free resources:

In addition to Barb's great videos, I have a 39-video series on FrameMaker generated files on YouTube:

re: FrameMaker 2024…

There is no FM 2024 so far.
Is this FM2022 (and if so, what point release, if that turns out to matter).

Oops! You are correct. Some of my other Adobe apps are 2024.

Version is 17.0.3.546

I fixed the chapnums, but still does not work.  There are 3 figtitle styles.

Can you send me your book? Click on my name and you will see my email.

If you don't want me to see the book, just send me the LOF.

How many Figure styles do you use? Normally there should only be one or two styles.

Some of your Chapnums don't have a $ sign.

This is my entire LOF reference page:

openXmlElementId <$relfilename>:<$UniqueXmlElementId> <$RelativeXmlElementId>
openObjectId <$relfilename>:<$ObjectType> <$ObjectId>
<$paranum> <$paratext> <$chapnum>–<$pagenum>
<$paranum> <$paratext> <$chapnum>–<$pagenum>
