FrameMaker 9 and RoboHelp integration

Has anyone been using RoboHelp 8 with FrameMaker 9? How does this compare to using WebWorks ePublisher? What's the difference in the integration between FrameMaker 9 and the two different Help products?

Thanks!

    Hello Lance,

There are many differences between Robohelp and Webworks.
Both of them can create online-help and PDF.
The unique  feature of Robohelp is the possibility to create AIR Help.
    The TCS includes Robohelp.

The unique  feature of WebWorks is the possibility to create wiki-output, PDF XSL-FO.
WebWorks ePublisher is more recent, based completely on XSLT and has long time experience
to interact with FrameMaker (since FM4 and of course with FM9).
WebWorks ePublisher can convert Word, FramerMaker and DITA.

My company use WebWorks ePublisher with FrameMaker to create large technical documentation
for our customer and it works great. We have also some experiences with Robohelp,

    but we prefer WebWorks ePublisher

Also check out the Technical Communications Users Group at http://groups.google.com/group/TCS-Users?hl=en.

If you're seriously looking at this combo, it makes more sense to use the TCS than stand-alone programs because the Suite includes hooks and additional code that don't ship with the individual programs.

One other option that I like better than RH for some projects is MIF2Go by www.omsys.com. That's not to say that RH doesn't work well; it's just that each conversion route has some strengths that the other doesn't.

Lance, have you checked out the RoboHelp forum section, you'd likely get more replies there:
