FrameMaker 9 crashes on startup 9004 6921628 9677518

Installed Tech Suite 2.5 and Frame 9 will not go beyond localization during startup. Tried all the tips in other posts. uninstalled reinstalled numerous times. Patched to the latest 9.0.4. Need some guideance.

Sure, the following is my system info:

Intel Core 2 Duo

P8600 2.4Ghz

2GB of RAM

OS: Win XP 2002 SP3

System Language is English

Default printer PDF

FM 9 worked after intial install then had to reboot system, never worked again.

First install of FM 9.

Can you give us more details on your system? O/S, service pack, amount of RAM, etc. Also what are your system language settings? What printer do you have set as your default system printer?

Has FM9 ever worked on this system? Did you have a previous versions of FM installed?

Yes I did, no joy. I renamed it and started the program and still got the failure.

Ah, you said you renamed the directory and restarted the program -- you need to reboot the system.

Did you specifically try the tip about the linguistics directory?
