FrameMaker 9 + Distiller 9 = PDF Fail

Hi! I'm having no luck fixing this on my own, so I hope folks here can lend a hand.

I have had FM 9 for a while (upgraded from 7.1). I was building docs happily and generating PDFs and having no major problems.

Then I got CS4. I installed everything, including the latest Acrobat and Distiller.

Now when I generate PDFs in any way (print to Adobe PDF, save as PDF, generate a Postscript file and turn THAT into a PDF), there are major problems. These problems include:

- missing text from table cells

- missing TOC entries (blank lines instead of headings)

- table heading rows repeat when a table takes multiple pages, but the heading cells have no text in them

All the missing stuff is present in the Frame files, but it vanishes during the transition to PDF. The same things are always missing, but it seems like periodically, there will be new things missing as well, and they continue to be missing in future attempts to generate the PDF.

This is a SERIOUS problem because I am trying to produce a document for my job and am up against a deadline to an outside vendor. I really don't want to have to redo this whole doc in Word or something. Please advise!

Info on my setup:

OS: WinXP, all service packs and updates

FM: 9.0p237 (just had it download the latest update, still having the same issue)

Distiller: 9.2.0124

Thanks in advance!

Get the MS Hotfix as mentioned here: http://blogs.adobe.com/techcomm/2009/07/repost_hotfix_for_framemaker.html

Ealasaidh, you indicated you have FM 9.0p237, but that's not the latest patch, the latest is 9.0p250 (aka 9.03).  FM updates are not cumulative, so you need to install all the ones that are available in order to be up to the latest version.
