FrameMaker API question

Hi all

I'm working on a FrameMaker API client application designed to translate frame docs into other languages.

In order to do this, we delete all the text (but not the objects) from the document, before rewriting it paragraph by paragraph with the translated text.

A final step in that process requires us to set the default spellchecker and hyphenation languages to the target language we are translating to.

I'm having a problem in that the paragraph default languages are being set in some paragraphs and not others. It seems to happen in paragraphs containing index markers or crossreferences. Any ideas as to why this might be?
