FrameMaker Book Error Log: Printer setting for color "X" is inconsistent.

Adobe FrameMaker 2019

Windows Server 2019

Anytime I update a FrameMaker book, I get the following in the Book Error Log:

"Printer setting for color "X" is inconsistent."

Is there a way to fix this? Not sure if these warnings slow the update down.

Thanks!

    Hi ,

This usually happens when you define color "X" in different fm components and that is different from each other i.e there is an inconsistency of color between different fm files of same book .
If you are sure of the color definition in one of your fm files, you can do the following to fix

    1. In the book window, select all the files in the book.
    2. In the book windows, select File > Import > Formats
    3. Deselect everything except "color definitions"
    4. At the top, select the fm file from which you want your color definition
    5. Click "import"
    6. Save all files and try printing again.

It can also happen when you've got photographic images in multiple files. At this point I just grumble and move on.
