Framemaker Conditional Text Color works sometimes, sometimes not

I inherited a book from a previous writer that has two conditional tags defined: 1) Instructor view, 2) Student view. The instructor text condition is defined to display in orange. This works perfectly in all chapters of the book except one, and yet the condition definitions are identical in all chapters/files. Am I missing something really obvious? This is my first time using conditional text. I'm version 11. Thanks for any help.

The “name” may look identical, but the properties obviously aren’t (otherwise you’d get your orange text indicator). Two ways to tackle this – open up a working instance and the one that’s not working. Then check the properties of each step by step. The other way would be to try an import of formats from the working doc to the busted one.

Thanks, Jeff. I solved the problem by simply importing formats from a file that was working. I studied formats in both and could not see a difference, but obviously there was one. Oh well, problem solved, and thanks!
