Framemaker ID attribute

I use it for Conrefs but nowadays run into problems with it, if you try to use ID for the same element tag category multiple times in one document.

This is a new issue, that was not there before.

Interesting question. I can't think of anywhere else. It is typically used very heavily by certain plugins and other post-processing activities, but other than the enforcement of uniqueness, I don't believe that native FrameMaker has any concern for it. The exception might be the plugin-driven DITA tools, if you want to consider them a native feature, which maybe we should. Things like conrefs and ditamaps rely on IDs.

As much as I work with this stuff, I'll be chagrined if someone points out something I forgot.
