I use the Adobe Framemaker using a VM Ware image on my mac. When I open Adobe framemaker, the screen resolution is somehow too small.. This behavior is not seen in other applications.. I tried to find a setting to increase the resolution, but could not find anything.. Have you seen this and can you help me please? (I attached a screenshot).

    Also, search in the bar up top for "framemaker small resolution" to view a few old threads related to your issue.

    I've used Fusion for Fm for years, and don't currently have that problem.

    Looks like a pretty old version of Fm, and I recall seeing that in the past.

    First, try deleting your preferences folder, and other tips at

    And if that doesn't quickly resolve it,  Bob and Jeff's suggestions may help.

    If not, try installing a trial of the current version to see if it acts the same.

    You might be able to tweak the shortcut launching FM to look at the Properties and use the Compatibility tab to adjust the "Change high DPI settings" button.

    The maker.ini file used to have a setting to declare monitor size, such as:
    MonitorSize=23in
    At some point the default for it changed to:
    MonitorSize=Default
    And then it vanished entirely, apparently because FM was using some Windows API to read back the monitor EDID (or similar service in the graphics APIs).

    If you can find a:
    C:\Users\{you}\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\FrameMaker\16\maker.ini
    You might add a line for your monitor size and see what happens.

    If this works, my guess is that the EDID emulation is broken or misreported somewhere in the software stack.
