FrameMaker shortens PDF file name

Hi,

I have a book with 3 periods in its file name:

123.456.789.012.book (there are other numbers and also some regular letter characters, but this does not matter)

When I save as PDF (with or without Distiller, network or local drive), the PDF file name is shortened to:

123.456.789.pdf

I have FM 18.0.0 on Windows 11.

Can anyone check, if this happens also on Windows 10? And also with older FM versions?

Is this a FrameMaker issue or a Windows 11 issue?

Does anyone else with FM 18.0.0 and Windows 11 noticed any file name changes, when saved to PDF?

Can anyone confirm my finding that a FM file with 3 periods is saved to a PDF with the third period and the following numbers/text deleted?

Now a file device_descriptions.fm is saved as 1.pdf. And not in the folder of the FM file, but two levels up. I restarted FM and Windows, still the same.

Tested without distiller on 17.0.6.798, no problem.

I don’t have this problem with unstructured FM Version 17.0.2.431 running on Windows 11.

OK, thank you very much. So it seems that Windows 11 is not the reason, but FrameMaker 18. I will create a bug report and post the link here, in case someone wants to support this issue.
