Framemaker to Microsoft Word Document

I have created a .sts file to import a Microsoft Word document into FrameMaker, matching all of the Word Headings to the FrameMaker Paragraph Styles. I love this feature. Is there any way to do this backwards? To go from FrameMaker to Microsoft Word and preserve all of those Headings/Paragraph Styles?

I know I can create a PDF and then export to a Word file, but I don't belive that preserves the Paragraph Styles. I have read a little about RTF files but it sounds like I would run into the same issue?

You can save FrameMaker documents to RTF. RTF is something similar to MIF files for FrameMaker. They can be opened in Word and saved as docx files.

I have made a series of FrameMaker templates, called "TechWriters templates", which make FrameMaker/Word roundtripping easy.

They are based on the principle of using Words standard style names. This makes it super easy to save the Frame documents as RTF  - continue or begin writing in word, import into FrameMaker, save as RTF etc.

You can find them here. Comes in both US letter and A4:

Probably have better luck running it through Robohelp (FM > RH > Word).
