FrameMaker v7.2p144 won't run on Windows 7

We have finally swapped out our older machines for new ones that run Windows 7. After reinstalling FrameMaker v7.2 (we have a client who has no interest in upgrading from v7.2), I attempted to install the patches, starting with p144, but it won't run. Might this be a compatibility issue with the newer OS? Regardless, is there a workaround?  Thanks, Monica

Windows 7 has a compatibility setting - I'm not sure where to find it, but a Google search should turn it up. You can set it for earlier Windows versions, like XP.

    Try this:

Right click on the installer and select Run As Administator.

If it still won't run, keep the Admin setting and add: Troublshoot Compatibility.
