I have "fm" files produced in FrameMaker 7,8 I only need to read those files. Is anybody know of any method how to read them, not buying the tool itself?

If there are not too many, and you could process them all in a short time, you could install the free trial version (of FrameMaker 10) and make them into PDFs. Or save the content as RTF, if you want to re-use it.

The trial version will work without restriction for thirty days.

Thanks, I know this option, the problem is that the documents are coming along the way, and not in one bulk, so I need long run solution.

The long run solution is to get the providers of the FrameMaker files to provide pdfs not fm files. Eons ago in computer time there was a product called FrameViewer. Even if you could get the programs to work, then would not read modern versions of Frame files. Adobe opted for encouraging the distribution of pdfs rather than frame files.
