Framemarker 8 Toolbar issues

My Quick Access formatting bar when in a box is surrounded by white space and I cannot see the icons any more.

Is this a bug or an "upgrade" ??
Or is my installation misconfigured?

    I can see the icons but the Quickaccess Bar, when floating, has a white background (looks very bad), the icons have no 3d relief, and the flyover tooltips are inactive. I have the 8.0p273 update.

    When the bar is docked, everything seems to behave.
