Global changing a single paragraph tag

New FM user here. Is there a way to make a single Paragraph tag change to Paragraph tag change in FM 2015? It looks like It should be an easy Find / Replace, except it looks like you have the option to Find a Paragraph tag, but not change to another Paragraph tag. Is there another way to just change a single P tag to another P tag? Thx.

    Thank you. In a similar vein, is it possible in FM to import only a single Paragraph format or selection of formats from another document (comparable to Word's Developer tab > Style > import selected styles) but not all styles from the document (ie to select specifically styles to import? Thanks.

    Yes, but not directly, and it takes some work.

    You can save your file as MIF, then edit the MIF to contain only the definitions you wish.

    After changes, you can import that MIF file into your doc to add the definition.

    A better way is to use Rick Quatro's FindChangeFormatsBatch to do this and many other maintenance tasks.

    I always use this approach: Create a new empty document, delete all styles, define this one style and then use this "style template" as the source. You can do the same with an existing document: Make a copy of it, delete everything including all styles except for the one or multiple that you want to import into other documents.

      Use Edit > Copy Special > Paragraph Format to put your new paragraph format on the clipboard.

      Then set the Change option to By Pasting

      That should allow you to swap out the old format for the new.
