Heading Cross-Reference

When I am applying a Heading cross-reference, the Cross-References Panel changes the Heading link to Cross-Reference. None of the other links created in the same page do this except this one. I have reapplied the Heading 1 to the topic. I have deleted the cross-reference link and reapplied but it still changes to cross-reference, instead of Heading.

I'm a little confused here.

Are you working in structured/DITA or unstructured?

Are you saying that you have two cross-reference tags, one labeled Heading and one labeled Cross-reference, and that you are trying to reference a Heading 1 and select Heading as the xref tag, it winds up using the Cross-reference tag instead?

Unstructured. Yes, I was selecting Heading 1 and was getting cross-ref, intead.. I discovered the issue. Apparently, when I created the marker, in this case, I created a cross-ref marker instead of Index marker. There never was a Heading marker, which I find interesting. First time for everything! Happened to notice it when I checked it again. Changed it to Index marker with the same Index text and works fine, now.
