Help with FrameMaker deactivation

I am trying to activate a frame maker license on a computer, but frame won't let me because it was registered on an older computer that failed several years ago and was tossed. No one is using the license, but adobe apparently has recorded that it was associated with the old machine and won't let me activate it on the new cpu.  We have the license, records and installation DVD, but I can't find a method to deactivate the license via Adobe so I can reuse it.

Any ideas?
