Question

How can I resolve the following postscript error: [ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: ct_T3HdrDict

I know the error is caused by using a character definition that uses the Courier font (indicating 'user input' in a technical documentation document). FM indicates that Courier is an available font.

Which version of FM & Distiller? Are you using Save As PDF or printing to file and then Distilling? What joboptions are you using? Are you embedding the fonts?

Hi Arnis! Thanks for responding.

I'm using FM 10.0.2.419 (in the TCS), Distiller version is 10.1.323. I'm using Save as PDF.

For the PDF Job Options I've tried both Standard and High Quality Print. I'm not sure about the embedding of fonts. Where would that be mentioned? I couldn't find an option for that in the PDF Setup dialog.

The embedding is part of the joboptions settings in Distiller. With the joboptions mentioned, they should be embedding all fonts. Also check the AdobePDF printer instance setup (Properties). On the PDF Settings tab, the option "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts" should NOT be checked.

You could try changing the setting in the PDF Setup > Settings tab to turn off the "Convert CMYK colors to RGB" option.

You didn't mention which operating system you're using. If it's XP, have you applied the MS hotfix for PS printing?
