Question

How to activate FrameMaker 17 education?

I purchased a license of FrameMaker 17 education, assigned it to a user (myself with my email, which is the same as my Adobe sign-in email), and installed FM. When I start it, it’s offering a 30-day trial or to buy it. The Buy page doesn’t recognize that I have an FM license assigned. How do I activate FM? If I go to the admin console under my login, I can see the license as provisioned and it’s assigned to my name with the correct email. Under Products, it says Access Assigned under Adobe FrameMaker. Thank you for your help.

Are you using FrameMaker 2022 (version 17) or FrameMaker 2017?

I understood that there are no EDU licensing options since invoking the subscription model with Fm 2019.

Did you install it as an Admin? Was there an Internet connection active when you started it & used your Adobe ID to login?

FM is running in trial mode and I am logged into the Adobe site. I even received an email that the admin assigned a license to me and when I click the link to start, it opens the regular Adobe site (console), which shows everything except any mention of FrameMaker.

    Hi,

    I would speak to Adobe:

    https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#framemaker

If you want to send an e-mail: tcssup@adobe.com

This is enterprise support, but still I would try this contact.

    Best regards, Winfried

I have no experience with Adobe edu licensing, but anyone who does might need to know where you bought the license. At at glance, they appear to be only available directly from Adobe. Authorized resellers, like cdw.com, don’t offer educationals.

Casual web searching does seem to turn up any number of scams, however.

In any event, this is a user-to-user forum, and other contributors may be able to provide the Adobe contact information you need.

Purchased through Adobe and the Adobe Admin Console shows the license and user assignment.
