I am creating a guide for a product. I want to add some JavaScript code snippets in my documentation. Is there a way to auto format the code and properly indent it in frame-maker 11.

Just create an appropriate paratag that has the desired margins, tab settings, monospaced font, etc. and apply that to all code snippets.

This is certainly a deficiency in the product, especially a product catered to technical documentation. Even this forum interface can auto-format code. A colleague and I once talked at length about how to make it work and I think he even had a prototype utility, but I don't think it went any further than that. Anyway, I don't have a solution to the question but I did want to just chime in with some moral support.

In addition to the import-as-EPS hack already mentioned, I'm wondering, for recent versions of FM, if it might not also be possible to import raw XML as Text Inset from code editors that can export XML (and frankly, I don't know that there are any).

Don't get us started on callout bubbles with auto-masks and extensible anchored leaders (like any freebie 2D CAD app can do).
