How to creat multi-lingual book?

I need to create multilingual instructions. Each language should have a table of contents that links only to the language's chapters. The book should be numbered from 1 to n.
Is there a best practice?

Thanks,

Rainer

Are all the TOCs together in the beginning of the book, or are they at the start of each language's chapter?

If the former, you will need to have different styles for each language. For example: Title_English, Title_Spanish, etc.

If the latter, you could use the same styles and create a Mini-TOC for each chapter.

    Thank you for your replies.

I created one document for each language, imported (linked) all documents into this document, and created a Mini-TOC for each document. This works for me.

So one book with sub-books, each sub-book is in one language and each sub-book needs their own table of contents? Create a hierarchal book, that includes the multiple language books.
