How to Easily Cross reference Outline numbered list to a Table cell in an another FM doc

I have an outline with four levels of numbering. I am trying to figure out how to easily cross reference various numbered lists in the outline to a table in another document. Using the cross reference dialogue is tedious as I have to select the tag corresponding to my list one at a time. I would like to be able to select the entire list from my outline and cross reference it to the table cell. My goal is to be able to update the Outline and have the Table update automatically. Text Insets don't seem to be the answer, and cross referencing these lists is time consuming.

Any help would be more than welcome.
