I am new to scripting.

First time attempt with ExtendScript on FrameMaker version 15.0.8.979.

The ExtendScript Toolkit 4.0 opens, but when open a script and runs it, it shows the error message

"(#57) Engine 'fmEngine' does not exists!"

How to fix it and successfully use the ExtendScript Toolkit ?

Your experienced guidance will help a lot and appreciated.

Hi,

Can you post the first lines of your script?

It should start with:

#target framemaker

And how do you run your script?

I do this only in FrameMaker via File | Script | Run or History.

I am sure that also other methods work, but this is what I do.

At the top of the ExtendScript Toolkit window there are some lists.

I have selected:

FrameMaker 2022 (select your latest version)

main
