How to get in different title styles in alphabetical index

Hi @Barb Binder 

 

Here i m wiriting a long story regards to create Albhabetcial index, i used Elements & paragraphs(alphabtical index). With this i am able to get all the titles and subtitles as the output, 

 

My requirement is to bring some of different subtitles and not all the subtitles which is inside the manual, and also want to know that how to cut short the big title to short one. 

Example

Batter - Check as Battery

When a battery is run down  as Battery

 

How to couple this words which is in different page numbers.

 

Basically i want to know hw to create sandard index, Please reply me with the training material link if its existing already.. it will be great helpful to me.

    Great - so FM2020 Unstructured. What's with the out of focus cell phone screenshots? Just use the built in Windows Snipping Tool to make great screenshots & then use the Insert Photos icon in the web interface to embed them - having to click on the attachments slows everything down.
    So, you've created the index and now you just want to format it, correct? Do you already have an existing example FM IX document? That's the easiest way to format your standard generated index.       Hi @Jeff_Coatsworth , my basic doubt is that how to create new index entry in marker & how to delete the marker entry

      Ok, let's get a few facts first - what version of FM are you using & are you doing Structured or Unstructured FM?

        I m using unstructured frame maker and the version is 16.0.4..

         

        My concern is here is that I want to know how to create standard index ...
