How to insert a subscript building block in an index marker in framemaker

Hi,I need to create an index marker using H2O2, but the 2s need to be in subscript (H2O2 is hydrogen peroxide).I wonder how to preserve the subscript attribute in the index (I did it here using the HTML editor of this forum).I tried to put this in my index marker text to refer users to "hydrogen peroxide":"H2O2, see hydrogen peroxide<$nopage>"How can I make sure the "2s" stay in subscript in the index?I use FrameMaker 12.0.4.445, unstructured.Regards.

Best bet is to use [₂], an inherently subscripted Unicode "2" \u2082

Theoretically, if you implemented the sub2 as a Character Format in the body files, and that tag also exists in the IX, it will be honored, and this is probably OK for an IX. It's a bad idea for other generated lists, like TOC, because the hypertext gets broken at any Character tag boundary.
