How to install ExtendScript Toolkit?

Hi,

I got a new laptop with Windows 11, and now I have to install everything anew. The ESTK seems to be a problem.

@Klaus Göbel had said that we can download the ExtendScript Toolkit here:

https://github.com/Adobe-CEP/CEP-Resources/tree/master/ExtendScript-Toolkit

When I run AdobeExtendScriptToolkit_4_LS22.exe, it unpacks itself into a folder with a setup file. OK.

When I run this, I get an error message (in German):

The following problems arose

The installer had noticed that possibly a computer restart is needed.

Exit the installer, restart the computer and retry the installation.

After I clicked Ignore, the installer did something, but it did not install the ExtendScript Toolkit.

It should be here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit CC\

Does anyone know, how I could install the ESTK on Windows 11?

Thank you very much for your help!

Rick suggested to just copy the installation folder from the old laptop with Windows 10 to the new one with Windows 11.

This worked! I just did this and could start ESTK and select FrameMaker. And I could run a script correctly.

    Rick, thank you very much!

Try right-clicking on the setup file and run it as an Administrator and see if that makes a difference.

I think that I did this before, but I am not sure ;).

When I run the setup as Administrator, I got the same: an error message and then a window with says that it will initialise the installer which disappears at some point.
