how to put book chapters on odd page (TOC)

Hello,

I have created a FM book with 4 chapters, and I have created a TOC of this book.

How to set FM book in order to put the begining of each chapter automatically on an odd page ?

Hi @pierret18811376:

 

Select the chapters in the book window, right click the selection > Pagination:

  • Double-sided
  • First Page Side: Right
  • Before Saving and Printing: Make Page Count Even

Update your book.

Hi Barbara @Barb Binder ,

I think I understand where was coming the problem : Your settings were good, but the problem was coming from my selection :

- First I had selected the chapters only (without the TOC), and by applying your settings it was not working in the exported PDF.

- But now I have just selected the chapters with the TOC, and by applying your settings, it worked (TOC and chapters on odd pages) !

    Hi @Barb Binder 

    In another test example, I have done exactly what you have said and it worked very well concerning the selected chapters :

    chapter 1 (begin page1) / Chapter 2 (begin page 3) / chapter 3 (begin page 5).

    But as you can see in this screenshot, I had created a TOC, so if I export in PDF, in the exported PDF I have in the order :

    page 1 : the TOC / page 2 : chapter 1/page 4 : chapter 2 / page 6 : chapter 3. But these chapters in the PDF should be on odd pages.

    For Starting Page Side, choose Next Available Side.
