Question

I would like to modify the list of page sizes offered in FrameMaker 2020's "New document" dialogue.

It should be possible using the pagesize.cfg, but according to my own experience and that of Klaus Daubes, that file does not work. Would anybody know whether there is another option? One would think that there was a list... somewhere. Which could be modified.

There is a way to modify and customize the Welcome screen. One of my clients has done it extensively, but I haven't played with it myself. It is built on HTML5/CSS/JavaScript so it shouldn't be to difficult to figure it out. If I have time, I will try to dig up some information on what files you would have to modify.

    Hi,

The DIN A4 page size in pagesize.cfg is just named A4.

However, in the Page Size dialog (Format | Page Layout | Page Size) this is called A4 Letter.

When I search for files with text A4 Letter, I did not find anything, neither in the FrameMaker installation directory nor in c:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\FrameMaker\16\.

I do not know where these page sizes are defined and where these names come from.

    Best regards
