Importing latex or Postscript documents

A thought: If the magnitude of your conversion warrants it, you're sure to find a variety of conversion tools for Latex, Postscript, PDF, and RTF on a Linux system. If you're truly imprisoned on a Windows system take a look at Cygwin, which is a Linux-like environment for Windows.

You can then move the files back to Windows (or perhaps a Windows virtual machine) to accomodate FrameMaker's needs...

Sujata, expanding on Mike's posting above, MML is a text-based FrameMaker file format that can sometimes be useful for conversions. Unfortunately MML is very, very limited in the formatting it can retain, so it would depend on what kinds of content you need to convert, as MML is very "restricted" in what it can represent. You might also be able to go from LaTeX to RTF to FrameMaker.

Another alternative is to use a general macro programming tool to convert from LaTeX to MML or to MIF, such as LogicTran or others.

Well a manual solution would also help if an automated one is not available . I have one document in Latex which is 400 pages long and is the first priority to be converted the others are much smaller.

There is no direct conversion available, you'll have to try an
indirect route.

There is a LaTex to MML converter around as well as some LaTex to RTF
converters. You could also try converting the postscript to pdf and
export the RTF to re-import into FM.

What volume of documents do you need to convert? In other words, are you wanting some sort of programmatic / automated solution or would a manual process suffice?
