In Framemaker 11, can a text box have vertical Japanese text (tategaki)?

In Framemaker 11, can a text box have vertical Japanese text (tategaki)?

Rotating obviously is not correct, and the customers have vetoed that.

We've tried making it only one character wide, but that means that some characters (e.g.: choonpu) are not correctly aligned.

Is there a setting somewhere to support tategaki text?
