Question

Indentation in table changes depending on para order

I have two paragraphs used in tables:

CellBodyBullets
CellBody

Other than a bullet autonumber format and a 0.25" tab, the only difference between the two para tags is that CellBody Left Indent is 0.1 and CellBodyBullets Left indent, because it is a bullet, is 0.25. First indent is 0.1 for both para tags.

If the first paragraph in a table cell is CellBodyBullets, that paragraph and all subsequent paragraphs of any kind in that cell use the correct left alignment.

If the first paragraph in a cell is CellBody, that paragraph and all subsequent paragraphs of any kind in that cell scoot a few points to the right.

Has anyone seen this behavior?

Thanks!

I see what might be happening!

Although in the problem document itself the two paratags have the same cell padding values, in the template they do not (even though the template was applied to the document). I think this is because the writer is trying to use one of the paratags in an unanticipated way. I think that adding a new paratag to the template should fix the problem.

    Thanks!

    Hi Arnis,
Thank you for your response! I am using 8.0p277.

Yes, the cell margins and all other Table Designer settings are identical for both paratags.

    Karen,

Just tested that and not seeing it happen here. Which version and
point release of FM are you using (Help > About)?

Have you checked the settings of the "Cell Margins" (on the Table Cell
tab of the Paragraph Designer) for each of these paratags? Are they
    identical?
