installation issues

When installing Framemaker, the installer quits at 12% and gives me the following error: “We are unable to complete the installation at this time. (Error Code: 127)”. I changed permissions per the following adobe website and it did not solve my problem:

https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-download-install-logs.html#error127

I have Framemaker 16 currently installed. I have tried this installation on two different windows machines running Windows 11 with the same result.

@kimmycab - any joy? Did you/they get it sorted out for you?

    Hi,

Installation issues are something which the Adobe support will take care of. Just contact them here:

    https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#framemaker

E.g. with the chat. This is probably the fastest way.

    Hi,

Did you unzip the zip file before starting the installer?

Are all files on a local drive (good) or on a server (not good)?

Which version do you want to install?

    Best regards, Winfried

What site are you trying to download from?

This is the most recent one I tried https://www.adobe.com/products/framemaker/vipdownload.html. My organization also provided me with a zip file which produces the same errors.

I’d be using https://helpx.adobe.com/framemaker/kb/framemaker-downloads.html or just log into your Adobe ID account and download from there.

In that case, use a different browser to download it again and then run it as an Admin.

Did you launch the installer as local Windows Admin user?

When I try to install as admin user I get “Installer is corrupt. Please re-download the installer and try again”. I have downloaded the installer multiple times with the same result.
